Transport for London Expands Relationship with ABM

Listen to this article

ABM has been awarded a new contract by Transport for London (TfL) to provide mechanical and electrical (M&E) services across the London Underground network.

The contract focuses predominantly on reactive M&E maintenance services in London Underground buildings, including servicing HVAC and lighting installations.

Marking a strategic expansion of the facility services provider’s longstanding relationship with TfL which has included delivery of cleaning services, the award comes as Campbell Murdoch joins the business from City FM to lead the Business & Industry division. Murdoch will play a key part in delivering ABM’s ambitious growth strategy which puts an immediate focus on the rapid expansion of its technical services offering.

Murdoch says: “We first began working with Transport for London in 2017 when we were awarded the contract to clean London Underground stations and trains, bus depots, head office buildings and the London Transport Museum. We have since navigated the pandemic in collaboration with TfL, employing increased hygiene measures to ensure the network remained safe for front line workers and commuters travelling during lock down and beyond.

“We are proud to continue that relationship, now able to showcase our technical capabilities, and ensuring they receive a data-enabled service that will enhance efficiency.”
