MAHLE Awards Hard Services Contract

Listen to this article

STRABAG Property and Facility Services will deliver integrated technical facilities management and production support services at 36 locations in Germany under a new contract from automotive component manufacturer Mahle GmbH.

The contract includes provision of maintenance services at Mahle’s German headquarters complex of 15 buildings in Bad Cannstatt within the city borough of Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, which has recently been expanded by the addition of new office and production buildings, and a multi-storey car park. A further 21 properties in Stuttgart Feuerbach and Bad Cannstatt also fall within the contract’s geographical remit.

Manufacturing support services include the provision of technical and engineering maintenance services for over 5,000 systems installed within an area of over 200,000 square metres. Of particular note is the maintenance of technical systems in test bays, a high-voltage area and laboratory areas.

A defining feature of STRABAG PFS’ successful tender submission was the inclusion of ‘functional’ service delivery model which has been developed by the certification working group of RealFM e.V. and i²fm and defines organisational and operational structures and processes.

STRABAG PFS will self-deliver all services utilising on-site teams of approximately 30 employees.
