
Serco in North America has appointed U.S. Army veteran Melissa Marousek as Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President.
Reporting directly to Serco in North America’s Chief Executive Officer, Tom Watson, Melissa will serve on the Executive Management team leading the company’s human resources strategy, and overseeing talent management, organizational development and, cultural transformation initiatives to ensure that it attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Melissa’s extensive experience in leading HR functions across large, diverse and complex organizations will be invaluable as we strengthen our workforce, enhance our culture and continue to build upon our purpose to ‘impact a better future.’
Melissa brings over 20 years’ experience in human resources to her new role, having held senior leadership positions at J&J Worldwide Services and Lockheed Martin. At J&J Worldwide Services, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer, where she played a pivotal role in modernizing and scaling the HR function to support business growth and led the HR diligence through a successful US $800M acquisition. Previously, she spent almost a decade at Lockheed Martin, where she held various leadership roles and was instrumental in aligning business strategy with people initiatives to drive organizational success.

Melissa holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
