Autogrill has partnered with PizzAut, a social enterprise and the operator of Italy’s first ever pizzeria run by young autistic people, to launch a new sandwich dedicated to raising awareness of the condition in the workplace and society in general.
GourmAut has been created with inclusion in mind, with a round shape to allow easy cutting into four portions to foster sharing. Its ingredients offer a combination of flavours and include Prosciutto Praga (ham), courgettes, Robiola di Bufala (cheese) and dried tomatoes.
Young people from PizzAut helped in creating a national advertising campaign, with talented cartoonist Beatrice producing the illustrations that feature in promotional materials. Edoardo, who has been seconded to Autogrill, is the voice of a promotional video and talented violinist Andrea plays the background music.

Autogrill will donate 1€ to PizzAut for up to 200,000 sandwiches sold before the end of October with proceeds to support PizzAutoBus, a project offering jobs to other autistic people.
