Trane has appointed Global Group as a UK unitary dealer for its new LEAF Inverter propane heat pump.

Global Group, a Wiltshire-based specialist in the supply and installation of HVAC systems, has been appointed to sell, hire and install the LEAF; a new generation of air-to-water heat pump, manufactured by Trane, that can cool as well as heat a building.

Tanwir Azam, Equipment Leader at Trane UK, says: “We are delighted to announce Global Group as a unitary dealer for the Trane LEAF heat pump.

“As Trane continues to lead the way in sustainable heating solutions, LEAF is the latest innovation in our heat pump portfolio. Designed with commercial premises in mind, it is the ultimate solution to eliminate fossil fuels from your building across all seasons.

“We are now looking for other partners across the country to bring the LEAF Heat Pump to even more businesses.”

Nick Masters, Global Group managing director, says: “Our relationship with Trane is already a strong one and we are excited to offer the new LEAF heat pump to our customers. We expect it to be highly popular as businesses look to reduce their carbon emissions when heating and cooling their premises.”

Trane UK’s Will Hockey, Equipment Sales Engineer, presented Nick with a certificate to mark the deal outside Global Group’s Swindon headquarters.

The LEAF heat pump incorporates an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) R-290 (propane) refrigerant to achieve even stronger environmental credentials, runs on electricity only (removing fossil fuels from the equation), and offers plug-and-play simplicity. It is available to buy or rent.
