Nord Drivesystems have released a new Windows version of its parameterisation software for setting up and monitoring drive and gear systems across the energy, construction and manufacturing sectors.
Version 3.0 of the NORDCON Windows app offers users additional functions to further facilitate the setup and monitoring of their drives. In the updated software tool, a customisable dashboard, a context-sensitive help function and a revised oscilloscope support application-specific control of NORD drive technology. The software is the ideal supplementation to the NORDCON mobile app – NORD’s parameterisation solution for smartphone or tablet.
The NORDCON Windows and NORDCON mobile apps offer a cockpit with intuitive operation for setup of the company’s electronic drive technology. The system supplier of drive solutions unified the user interface of its Windows and mobile parameterisation apps with this NORDCON Windows app version. In addition, NORD added new features to the Windows app.
Customisable dashboard
Like the NORDCON mobile app, the NORDCON Windows app now also features a customisable dashboard. This allows the display of drive data and its monitoring to be adapted to the specific application and to be displayed in real time. Available modes are the text display, progress bar or trend visualisation modes.
Context-sensitive help function
The context-sensitive help function enables users to call up information directly from the current work area regarding the action that is being carried out. This makes it easier to understand the parameters and tasks without having to exit the work area or use manuals.
Revised oscilloscope
The oscilloscope function can be individually configured. Measurement values can be both displayed graphically and exported for subsequent analysis. The stored mathematical formulas enable quick calculation and evaluation of all relevant drive data.
NORDCON Windows and mobile apps as an end-to-end solution
The NORDCON Windows app is the ideal supplementation to the NORDCON mobile app. It enables wireless 1:1 connection to an electronic drive system. The connection is established via the NORDAC ACCESS BT Bluetooth stick, which is temporarily plugged into the frequency inverter.
As a Windows and mobile app, NORDCON allows to use NORD drive technology to its full potential. With the software solutions, the system provider realises permanently easy access to drive control, convenient parameter management and comprehensive diagnosis from single-axis to multi-axis solution. They are suitable for all tasks from application development to servicing, from commissioning to operation of frequency inverters, motor starters and all optional modules.
The NORDCON Windows app is available for Windows 10 and higher. The NORDCON mobile app is available for Android from version 11.0 and for iOS from version 6.0.
