
Cushman & Wakefield has added more top talent to its industrial brokerage team in Northern Nevada.
Mike Nevis, SIOR, CCIM joins the Reno office as a Vice Chair with Shawn Jaenson, SIOR joining as an Executive Managing Director.
Nevis and Jaenson specialize in landlord and tenant representation, development advisory, and the sale of industrial product in the region. With transactions topping nearly 40 million square feet of industrial space between them, they have worked with many of the biggest institutional real estate owners and developers in Nevada.

Nevis and Jaenson join Cushman & Wakefield from Kidder Matthews where they were a top performing industrial brokerage team.
Nevis began his career in 2004, and for over two decades has specialized in working with various developers and institutional owners throughout the Reno/Sparks MSA. During his tenure, his leasing assignments include a remarkable over 22 million square feet of institutional bulk and flex industrial projects, over 2 million square feet of build to suit projects plus dispositions and acquisitions of 1,200 acres of land. He is also a member of the distinguished Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and holds the elite expert certification as a Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Nevis is also a member of other industry and community groups including National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP) and Economic Development of Western Nevada (EDAWN). He has received numerous industry awards for his superior production as an industrial broker from SIOR, CCIM and others.
Further elevating the team’s robust production totals, Jaenson has been involved in over 270 transactions, totaling more than 13.6 million square feet of leased space with a transaction value of over US $450 million. He is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP). Jaenson was the recipient of NAIOP’s ‘Rising Star’ award in 2021 as well as ‘Developing Leaders’ award in 2022. Prior to Jaenson’s transition into real estate, he spent nine years in the military, serving as a U.S. Navy SEAL. Over multiple deployments to both the Middle East and Europe, Shawn’s dedication and professionalism earned him the Joint Service Achievement Medal for exceptional meritorious service.
