CIFF Guangzhou 2025: Showcasing Global Innovation in Furniture and Design

The 55th edition of CIFF Guangzhou, the largest event for the global furniture and soft furnishing sector, has opened at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

Bringing buyers and industry leaders together, the event showcases the latest innovations in furniture design and production, and features designers and global brands from across the world.

Event Overview

CIFF Guangzhou is divided into two phases. The first phase, running from March 18 to March 21, focuses on home furniture, home décor, and outdoor furnishings. Phase two, scheduled for March 28 to March 31, will feature office furniture, commercial interiors, hotel furnishings, and furniture production equipment.

With its theme “Powered by Design,” this year’s exhibition highlights three central pillars: Design Trend, Global Trade, and Full Supply Chain. Spanning 90 exhibition halls and covering 850,000 square metres, CIFF Guangzhou is hosting more than 4,700 brands, reinforcing its position as a key global event for the furniture industry.

Phase One (March 18-21): Home Furniture and Décor

The first phase, themed “Navigation,” brings innovation across six key exhibition sectors:

  1. Contemporary Design Fair
    Spread across 40,000 square metres, the CIFF Contemporary Design Fair in Zone A (Halls 2.1-5.1) features over 200 designers and more than 60 commercial design brands. Seven distinct exhibition areas showcase the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern design, with curated zones including East Design Show, Aesthetic Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and DESIGN UNITED.
  2. International Pavilion
    Representing global diversity, the International Pavilion (30,000 square metres across Halls 6.1-8.1) will host over 100 international brands from countries including Italy, Singapore, South Korea, and Turkey.
  3. Upholstery Innovations
    The upholstery sector spans 130,000 square metres and features 330+ domestic and international brands, with a special focus on global sofa innovations. The “Sofa Plus” immersive journey offers visitors a detailed exploration of the latest in upholstered furniture, while the Smart Sleep Zone introduces cutting-edge technology in sleep systems.
  4. Dining and Living Room Innovations
    The Dining and Living Room exhibition (120,000 square metres) brings together nearly 800 manufacturers, with specialized zones for dining and living room design. The newly introduced E-commerce zone in Hall 14.1 offers a unique platform for global trade, including leading online retailers like Amazon and Wayfair.
  5. Home Décor and Textiles
    The Home Decor & Home Textiles exhibition area, located in Area D, features over 500 exhibitors and offers a comprehensive look at the latest trends in interior aesthetics and textile innovations.
  6. Outdoor Living
    The Outdoor Furnishings exhibition in Area B will explore the full spectrum of outdoor furniture, shading solutions, garden décor, and camping gear, aiming to become Asia’s leading event for outdoor living products.

Phase Two (March 28-31): Office and Commercial Spaces

Phase two will focus on office and commercial space design, along with CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou, which will cover over 240,000 square metres across 24 halls. Key highlights include sustainability-driven innovations and enhanced content in the Trendy Design Hall (5.2) and the International Brands Hall (20.2). The new “CIFF Luminous Path” thematic journeys will promote green, innovative, and fashion-forward design concepts.

CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou, Asia’s premier platform for production equipment and materials, will feature nearly 300 international companies. The event will spotlight emerging trends in manufacturing with curated exhibitions such as the Design Original Hall and the CMF Trends Lab_2025.

Fostering Design Excellence and Global Trade

CIFF Guangzhou is committed to promoting Chinese original design on a global scale. The fair’s emphasis on design excellence is reflected in the 12 themed exhibitions curated by top designers, including Zhu Xiaojie and Li Ximi. These exhibits explore Chinese cultural trends, AI applications in design, and the evolving relationship between traditional and modern aesthetics.

The 2025 edition also underscores the importance of sustainability and smart technologies in the furniture sector. Special exhibition areas will feature innovations such as smart sleep solutions, elder-friendly home adaptations, and environmentally sustainable materials, including bamboo-based furnishings.

With over 380,000 professional visitors from 200+ countries, CIFF Guangzhou continues to be a critical platform for connecting global buyers and sellers.
