British train operator Chiltern Railways has extended its security contract with Amulet by a further three years with the option to extend for an additional two years following a a competitive tender process.

The extended contract took effect from 1st April and is worth £2 million annually.

Amulet has been restructuring security operations at the railway operator and subsidiary of  Arriva UK, and will build further on the 12 years partnership by overseeing a transition from static guarding to a more dynamic mobile staffing model across the entire Chiltern network.

Security across our network is paramount for the travel experience and the safety of our customers and colleagues.

Under the new contract, Amulet will provide enhanced security services, providing Travel Safe Officers (TSOs) and static security officers, with increased presence at major stations, including Birmingham Moor Street. The company will deploy approximately 55 security professionals to support Chiltern Railways’ operations.
