Donna Taylor has been appointed vice president of sales for the central region of the United States and brings extensive and diverse industry experience in sales management and sales leadership to the role (most recently as vice president of sales for a large energy solutions provider) as well as over a decade of experience from prominent roles in the lighting industry as Midwest account manager, Midwest ESCO manager, and area sales manager. Whilst in these roles, Taylor has created robust relationships with distributors, agents and key end-users.

“At Universal, we value the relationships we have built over the years with our distributors,” said Joe Damiani, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Universal Lighting Technologies. “We have a strong sales organization with quality agents, experienced sales managers, and a solid regional sales support strategy. Taylor’s commitment to the central region will help us provide our partners with a rapidly expanding line of LED products, plus the quality service they have come to know and appreciate over the many years of doing business together. We look forward to the new opportunities Donna will bring to the organization.”

Based out of Medina, Ohio, Taylor will report directly to Damiani and will manage the OEM and distribution channels in the region, providing support to agents, distributors and end users.

Five regional sales managers will report to her.

“We are pleased to welcome Rommell to the team and look forward to the opportunities that will result from his support,” said Mark Verheyen, president for Panasonic Lighting Americas. “His background and extensive knowledge from the industry will be a major contribution in taking the company to the next level.”

In his new position, May is responsible for creating and implementing a suitable strategy for specification of Universal Lighting Technology products in the ESCO/Retrofit channel. Rommell will work closely with the sales regional vice presidents, regional sales managers and field application engineers for a coordinated market approach and with product management to help define the needs for future products.

Joining the Solutions Business Development division, May will report to Jim Onishi, Senior VP Strategic Business Development, and to Mark Verheyen, president and CEO of Universal and President of Panasonic Lighting Americas, Inc.
