Aramark and the American Heart Association (AHA) have reported a third year of impressive results from their Healthy for Life® 20 By 20 health impact model.

The multi-year collaboration between a preeminent health organisation and the largest food services company in the United States, committed both organisations to leveraging their combined reach and resources to help millions of Americans lead healthier lives.

Accompanied by a series of public awareness campaigns, the model has achieved a 5 per cent reduction in the amount of red meat in Aramark recipes and 30 per cent increase in the number of menu offerings which are vegan or vegetarian as a result of a new focus on plant-forward ingredients and cooking methods that has seen more than More than 1,200 chefs trained in plant-based culinary innovation workshops.

Commenting on the results, Nancy Brown, AMA CEO, said:

“Our long-standing collaboration with Aramark illustrates our joint commitment to improve access to healthy food choices.

"Our aim is to meet people where they are to promote and inspire long and healthy lives.”
