New Approach to Contract Cleaning
UK support services provider Churchill Group has launched Portfolio, a high-spec cleaning service for organisations that consider their facilities critical to their core business.
Portfolio was inspired by feedback from clients in the legal, banking, media, and professional services sectors suggesting a direct link between the presentation of corporate real estate, perceptions of their businesses, and the ability of employees to excel at delivering core operations.
The novel approach involves delivery of cleaning services by dedicated teams who are specially trained in concierge-style services at the group's new Portfolio Centre of Excellence (itself the product of a partnership between Churchill's employee learning and development hub and a partnership with a renowned five-star hotel).
Discussing the company's most recent initiative, Antony Law, Churchill managing director, said:

To accompany Portfolio's launch, Churchill has published its own independently written and researched report on the cleaning industry. Incorporating suggestions from made in interviews with key figures from across the built environment, the paper looks to reappraise a service which is often, if unfairly, considered to be highly commoditised, static, and unsophisticated.
