Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has awarded Atalian Servest a new, five-year multiservices contract which includes engineering, building maintenance and the provision of technical support.

The facility services provider which already provides key services to HMRC will additionally be responsible for the implementation of a computer-aided facility management (CAFM) system and helpdesk services at several sites in HMRC's Central Region, which includes Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Nottingham.

HMRC is currently embarked on a modernisation programme that includes an estates transformation strategy, implemented to support new methods of collecting tax and customs revenue.

Commenting on the award, Atalian Servest's CEO for the UK & Ireland, said:

"We won this new contract due to our comprehensive experience with similar public sector environments, our technical offering and contract innovation.

"Our relationship has developed with HMRC over the past 12 months and we’re delighted to extend this partnership even further."

Alan Love, Deputy Director, Estates Innovation and Assurance for HMRC, added:

"We look forward to working with our new service suppliers. Our relationships will be different than the traditional contracts, having a real impact on the experience of our people in our workplaces, creating great places to work."
