IMServ, one of the UK energy data collection and meter operations services provider, IMServ, welcomes the government's Industrial Energy Transformation Fund which is scheduled for an April 2020 launch.
The £315 million fund aims to support significant energy users and help businesses to cut their energy bills. Announced as part of the 2018 Budget, the Industrial Energy Transformation fund will replace the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, which will close in April 2020.
IMServ is currently working with customers to enable them to understand how they can seek support from this fund when implementing new carbon reduction services and energy efficiency products.
Andy Bray, Business Development Director, IMServ: “There have been many government initiatives on energy efficiency and this appears to offer some funding to large users to start projects that may not have been viable without it.
“The key, will be to ensure that a number of technologies and projects are funded and crucial learnings can be shared with a wider audience to maximise the return from the fund.
“Data will be vital to showing the real value from these projects and metering is the core of providing accurate data.”
