Vehicle Auction Centre Contract

Contract Awards, EMEA, Service Provider News

Vehicle remarketing business Aston Barclay has selected B38 Group to supply a full range of property support services at anew 70,000sq ft vehicle auction centre near Wakefield, Yorkshire.

The 18 acre Normanton site which opened in January features two glass-fronted auction halls and storage facilities for 2,500 vehicles - in addition to leisure facilities, a restaurant and meeting rooms.

With banks of video screens, the centre champions itself as a pioneer in bridging the gap between digital and physical auction environments.

B38 was awarded the total facilities management (TFM) contract for a range of hard and soft services, following a competitive tender process.

Explaining the decision, Martin Potter, Aston Barclay managing director, said:

"We chose B38 Group because it is able to provide a complete TFM service across both hard and soft services, and we were also impressed by the company’s commitment to providing in-house delivery, giving it greater control and ensuring consistently high levels of customer care."
