Kier Living Offers Innovative Smarthomes

Real Estate, Energy Management, EMEA, Residential

Kier Living, the homebuilding division of the Kier Group, is the first UK housebuilder to offer the full suite of Nest and Google Home Hub smart home systems to purchasers of its properties.

Google Home and Nest products can be controlled by smartphones or voice and are offered in a range of configurations to target energy efficiency, fire safety (via the "Nest Learning Thermostat"), security, smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) protection.

Kier Living is currently offering the Nest option to homebuyers at its Oakthorpe and Peterborough developments, prior to the scheme's country-wide rollout.

John Anderson, the company's executive director, says:

"As a business, we always strive to offer a first-class service for our customers – and this is an exciting example of us being able to give them the next generation of performance for their new home.

"Use of smart technology is on the rise, with customers now able to control all aspects of their lives remotely and we are thrilled to be able to offer the full range of Nest products to offer the latest in smart home technology across our developments to help add to the enjoyment buyers get from their new home."
