Bartlett Mitchell Appoints Chef Director

UK independent caterer Bartlett Mitchell has promoted David Steel to the position of chef director for business development.

 

Steel, who has served the company as a development chef for the past two and half years will play a crucial role in supporting and developing new and existing key accounts across the company’s growing portfolio. He will report to the company's strategic business development director, James Greetham, who recently joined the business.

 

The promotion follows a prolonged period of progress for Bartlett Mitchell which saw the contract caterer achieve annual turnover of £39 million in 2018 after seven consecutive years of double-digit growth.

 

Prior to joining Bartlett Mitchell, Steel’s extensive experience in the foodservice sector included senior chef roles at Barclays and Sky TV. 

 

Commenting on the appointment, Steel, said:

"I feel incredibly proud, honoured and privileged to be promoted to Chef Director of business development.
