Raising Dough for the Big Bandana Bake

Company News, Catering, EMEA, Service Provider News

Staff at contract caterer Blue Apple have raised more than £2,500 in support of the the Brain Tumour Charity's Big Bandana Bake initiative to fund a researcher and work into new treatments.

Blue Apple hosted its own Head Office event where staff donned bandanas before embarking on a series of epic bakes.

Included in the participants was founding director, Ruston Toms, who demonstrated he still has the touch by creating a stunning Victoria Sponge cake, whilst Executive Chef David Belsey baked a wide range of sweet and savoury treats.

Sarah Prentice, Sales and Marketing Director (and baker of a fine mascarpone and filo tart with homegrown asparagus), said:

"The Brain Tumour Charity is close to the hearts of everyone at Blue Apple and is a fantastic cause we continue to champion at every given opportunity.

"The Big Bandana Bake is always great fun, and we get to eat all day while raising vital funds for future research – it’s win-win for everyone really!"
