Financing Important Brain Tumour Charity Research

Company News, EMEA, Service Provider News

The Brain Tumour Charity (BTC) has raised £700,000 during the 2018/19 financial year with the support of several corporate supporters and individual volunteers.

From walking in the rain to getting covered in flour for the Bandana Bakes, the efforts of countless volunteers have made funding available for more than  2,800 days of research into brain tumours.

Ruston Toms, founding director of corporate supporter, Blue Apple Catering, says:

"The message is loud and clear.

"Every penny does make a difference and, regardless of whether you climb a mountain or don a silly outfit for work on a Friday, all fundraising activities really help businesses get behind the amazing work the BTC does."

On 20th July 2019, the charity will be holding a mammoth, 14-hour, "Mine to Mountain" adventure at the GoBelow Base in Tanygrisiau, Blaenau Ffestiniog where participants will be kitted up with a harness, wellies, helmet and lamp to begin an instructor-led journey into the bowels of Snowdonia - the highest mountain in England and Wales.

Potential participants aged over 14 who have a penchant for heights (as well as depths of up to 1,375 feet underground), and own or can honestly acquire a quality wooly hat, should visit https://www.thebraintumourcharity.org/get-involved/events/mine-mountain-2019-eventbrite/?utm_campaign=10559606_Corporate%20eNews%20-%20May%202019&utm_medium=email&utm_source=dotmailer to sign up for the event.
