Young Leader of The Year Award 2019

Industry & Regulatory News, Events, EMEA, Talent

Emerging Workplace Leaders (formerly the Young Manager’s Forum) will be launching the Young Leader of the Year (YLOTY) award on Tuesday 4th June at The Crystal in London's Royal Victoria Dock.

The award, which is now open for entries, calls for organisations to nominate successful young managers and individuals who they believe are making an impact on the development of the facilities management industry. The deadline for entries is 15th July, and a shortlisting event will take place in October, followed by the announcement of the winner at the PFM awards on 6th November.

The launch event, which is being sponsored by Boden Resources, will also give guests the opportunity to hear from Cathy Hayward, founder and managing director of Magenta Associates, on developing a personal brand. Cathy says:

"In the world of work, cultivating your personal brand may prove just as valuable as building your business brand. But before you can start shouting about yourself to the world, you have to be sure about your own values and message.

If these don’t align with your own brand, it simply won’t make sense to the wider market."

The award highlights the significant talent that is currently available within the industry, and also recognises and identifies future leaders by providing them with a platform to voice to share their professional journey.

The launch event will be a great opportunity to network with the industry and attendees with also be able to meet previous winners from the last five years, who will be on hand to talk about their experiences.
