Turn Your Hand to Nature Conservation
Company News, EMEA
Family board game favourite Monopoly has received a makeover with a little help from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), with woodlands, wetlands and coastal reserves taking the place of prime real estate locations.
In RSPB Monopoly, even the Community Chest and Chance cards have been given a nature theme to allow players to amass birdwatching hides and other natural sites during their quest to become the top wildlife conservationist.
The game also introduces young audiences to wildlife native to the United Kingdom by featuring locations which are home to 22 bird species, including dark blue puffins and gannets.
Speaking at the launch, RSPB product manager, Sophie Martin, said:
"We are really excited to launch our new game. Everybody loves Monopoly, and this wonderful edition will appeal to wildlife and board game enthusiasts alike.
"The added benefit is that as well as having fun, sales of this game will help save nature."
