Flashing Lights for Industrial Safety

Company News, Health, Safety, Security & Environment, Industrial, Americas, Supplier News

A new visual signalling device from Pfannenberg U.S.A. is designed as a highly visible alarm system to ensure safety in even the harshest environments.

Developed to support personnel working in industrial facilities, the company's PY X-M-10 PYRA® Series Flashing Light is ideal for warehousing, logistics and inspection applications which require reporting on the operating status of machinery and processes.

The solution offers a 180o x 360o visible field and 10 Joules flashlight capability with an adjustable flash rate, with the manufacturer claiming an 8,000,000-flash service life without the need for sensitive filaments.

Variable flash rates of 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 Hz are incorporated into the device, with automatic flash synchronization of multiple connected units. Extremely high visibility with distances of nearly 1,000 ft. also makes the device suitable for signalling applications in large manufacturing areas, warehouses and outdoor spaces.

Designed with an IP 66 enclosure rating and IK08 impact rating, the signaling device is suitable in all weather conditions and any climate. A steel fixing clamp provides additional resistance to shock and vibration. Protected against driving rain, snow, ice, dust, and hose-directed spray, the PYRA® PY X-M-10 Flashing Light is suitable for myriad applications.

Electrical wiring is conducted in the base box, avoiding the need for 3-hand assembly and eliminating pinching and error potential, with PYRA® PY X-M-10 also featuring a stay-in-place shape-molded gasket and captive fasteners to simplify installation supported by flexible mounting options to enable installation upright on enclosures, downward from ceilings or vertically on walls.

Units are available with a choice of  lens and housing colors and come with 10-year manufacturer's warranty.
