Health & Vitality Honours for Compass

Compass Group UK & Ireland is the recipient of three awards at this year's Health & Vitality Honours organised by Footprint Media.

 

Compass Group’s nutrition team was honoured for Health & Vitality Communication and Engagement at a ceremony in London's St James's Square, which also recognised the pilot, 'Nudge Nudge' initiative aimed at convincing school populations to choose healther meal options between its education business, Chartwells and East Sussex County Council, and also saw defence business, ESS Defence, presented with Public Sector Health & Vitality hounours for its efforts in aiding compliance and driving healthier meal uptake across military sites in the UK.

 

Commenting on the awards, Mick Hickman, Foodservice Director, Compass Group UK & Ireland, said:

“I am really proud of what our nutritionists have achieved across our business. Health and wellbeing is central to what we do and we take our responsibility as a food service provider very seriously. We prepare, cook and serve more than one million meals every day and, at every meal occasion, we make sure there is a healthy choice designed around what our customers tell us they like. In addition to serving nutritionally balanced meals, we are helping to educate our front-line teams and our consumers about a healthy diet and lifestyle. Huge congratulations to our teams for these great results.”
